Our Diagnostic Equipment

At CanyonView Family Eye Care, we take pride in using the latest technology to treat your every need. Please have a look at some of the instruments we use in our office to detect and treat eye diseases and conditions.

Topcon’s DRI OCT Triton

We use this to detect glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal bleeding or swelling as well as any other small medical concern that can lead to a decrease in vision.

Optos Optomap Daytona

We use this to detect problems that affect the retina in areas that are typically difficult to see. This instrument also gives us a unique view into the anatomy of the eye as well as the function of the eye. Oftentimes a normal looking retina may have had an injury which decreased function in the retina and this will readily detect such an occurrence.

Cynosure TempSure

The technology used in this instrument has been used for a number of years to increase collagen and elastin in the skin in order to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Along the way they must have discovered that dry eye symptoms were improving for those clients. We now use this technology to warm the area around the eye which acts as a fast working hot pack. It allows us to clean out stagnant Meibomian Glands on the eyelids with very little interaction with your eyelids. It has proven to be quite effective for this treatment. But the instrument has a fortunate side effect to also reduce fine lines and wrinkles in the area of treatment.

Cynosure ICON IPL with Max G

We use this instrument to also address fine lines and wrinkles of the face while also allowing better heating of the lids and expression of the stagnant Meibomian Glands of the eyelids. The Max-G attachment allows us to also reduce fine surface blood vessels associated with rosacea (especially ocular rosacea) which can have a positive impact on the stagnant Meibomian Glands as well. Rosacea causes these glands to become plugged and function poorly and this instrument helps to clear those vessels which helps to clear those glands

Oculus Keratograph 5M

We use this instrument for detecting nearly anything wrong with the front of the eye, including the biggest ocular surface problem—dry eye. This instrument has a number of tests which allow a detailed analysis of the tear film of the eye and allows us to better understand our positive impact on the ocular surfaces during our treatments.

Oculus Centerfield

We use this instrument in the detection and treatment of glaucoma as well as other medical conditions that can affect peripheral vision.
